Movement is a conference for high school students from multiple churches in the Atlanta area that will take place in the Underground at Mount Pisgah. Students will spend Friday night, Saturday morning, and Saturday afternoon in worship and in-depth Biblical teachings lead by Justin Ely and Paul Smith. Student Life students will sleep in the underground on Friday night.
For the 2012 Mission Road Trip, High school students will serve in Montgomery, New Orleans, and Mobile on projects including children’s programs and minor construction. The team will stay in churches and community centers along the way, and will also get to enjoy a full day at the beach at the end of the trip. There is a mandatory team meeting on March 25 at 12:15pm in the Underground to cover more logistics.
The annual high school camping trip will be at the wilderness camp at Camp Glisson. Our seniors will go up a night early to enjoy one last hurrah before they graduate, and the 9-11th grader students will join them on Saturday, April 21st after lunch. Seniors will need money for fast food on Friday night.
Middle school students will spend the weekend at Camp Westminister in Conyers, GA. Students will enjoy high ropes, horseback riding, paintball, and many more activities at this amazing new camp. The weekend will also include specially designed worship sessions to help the students grow deeper in their faith.
MSMC is the middle school mission camp for rising 7th-9th graders. Students will serve the people of Chattanooga, TN during the day in a variety of places, which may include kids clubs, senior centers, soup kitchens, and thrift stores. At night, students will gain insight into the lives of the people they are serving through special evening activites, and will also grow deeper in their faith though teaching of the word.
